Why is Home Therapy Solutions out of network?
At this time insurance companies make it difficult for a practitioner to opt to be an in-network provider. The in-network frequent pre-authorization process for several sessions at a time calls for ongoing re-assessment reports, faxes, untimely replies from insurance, risk of re-authorization denial; all of which result in lost treatment time, office overhead, and increased fees. Insurance does not cover sensory processing disorder as a stand alone diagnosis. Insurance session reimbursement is typically for thirty minutes. However, at Home Therapy Solutions our goal is to provide the amount of time needed to get your child's brain wired for success. It is a commitment of work between therapist, parent, and child. Parent/caregiver is present with us for all therapy sessions.
If this status should change it will be posted on the program page. Home Therapy Solutions will submit for authorization assistance as requested by insurance for out-of-network benefits.
Please contact your insurance provider to confirm that your child has developmental: occupational therapy, physical therapy, or speech-language therapy coverage, as well as coverage for developmental-behavior intervention. Many insurance companies will only reimburse if you have a doctor's script for adult or pediatric: evaluation and treatment, medical diagnosis, and medical diagnosis codes. Home Therapy Solutions will provide a therapy diagnosis code as well as treatment codes. You may want to inquire about any insurance deductibles, percent of reimbursement, and number of visits allowed per calendar year. Many out-of-network plans appear to reimburse families between 60 - 80% of therapy billing rates once any deductibles have been met, depending on your policy.
Please Note: Home Therapy Solutions does not offer Certified-Behaviorist ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis), which may or may not be eligible for insurance reimbursement under your plan. Our developmental-behavior interventionist (DI) is trained in a broad scope of childhood development and behavior, and is qualified to implement concepts from ABA programming, as indicated, for behavioral intervention program planning. This therapy may or may not be covered by your insurance; however, the out-of-pocket hourly fee is closely comparable when compared to the hourly rate of a tutor for academic support.
