Therapy Testimonials
"We are extremely grateful for the services that Lori provided to our daughter. Our daughter is a sensitive child who struggles with some sensory and muscle weakness issues. Lori’s process was completely transparent and flexible to our daughter’s needs. She was caring and attentive each week that she worked with our daughter. Additionally, Lori gave us tools and resources to work with our daughter’s behavior at home. This was an educational experience as Lori’s process taught us how to more effectively parent based on our daughter’s needs. We saw improvements in several areas, but namely in our daughter’s (1) ability to self-regulate, (2) remain on task for longer periods of time, (3) body self-awareness, and (4) acquisition of social skills. These improvements increased our daughter’s confidence level in peer groups, which was a major concern for us. We are so grateful for Lori’s care, attention, and services". N.N. Riverdale, NJ
"I have been working with Lori Frommer and her team member Brynn since June with my 5 year old son Matthew. I had noticed some simple things that Matthew couldn't do as well as I thought he should at 5 - coloring, writing his name, cutting to give a few examples. Due to COVID it was hard to find specialists that were taking patients and even open to talk to. Lori Frommer talked to me for over an hour while I explained my concerns and gave examples during Matthew's pre-k year. She gave insight from her own personal experience of being a mom and helped me on a path to help my son. She introduced us to Brynn, who has been Matthew's OT therapist since the end of June/beginning of July. Brynn has helped Matthew so much to do the simple things that were such a struggle for him and to improve his strength and self-confidence. In this short time, I feel like Brynn is part of our family. Matthew can't wait to show her things that he's done now in kindergarten. Lori continues to check-in every few weeks if there is anything I need and to see how Matthew is doing. It has been so wonderful to find such great people willing to help in my neighborhood." M.C. "Lori worked with my 2 1/2 yr old daughter to address our sensory concerns by focusing on her emotional regulation, and teaching her to stay calm and organized. Lori was amazing at identifying her needs, and coming up with solutions to minimize our frustrations and tantrums during playtime, bedtime, mealtime, etc. Lori quickly won over my strong willed daughter and helped shape her into the happy and loving daughter she is becoming today." “Our daughter arrived for her first session with Lori decked out in a hand painted pillowcase costume complete with tiara and wand. She was terrified, and being a queen was the only way she was going to leave the house. I was mortified. And terrified, too, because I knew deep down that the fine motor and sensory delays her preschool teachers delicately described were more complicated than simply not being able to cut. Painfully, I had watched her sit through music class in a fetal position with her hands over her ears. I watched her not be able to draw any letters or shapes or even hold a pencil. However, Lori took our little queen completely in stride, and her graciousness and warmth became the foundation of a sense of safety and trust that our daughter treasures to this day. Her firmness, consistency, and structure enabled learning, growth, and achievements we never thought possible. Now a “big kid,” graduated from OT, our daughter has incorporated the skills she learned from Lori into her own routine. Most importantly, she learned to self-regulate; she asks for a bear hug or a quieter space or to bounce on a ball to get her arousal level to “just right.” While it’s quirky that she does homework while riding back and forth on a scooter, or hanging upside down, or chomping ice chips, it’s extraordinary that she reads, writes, and manages her environment enough to learn. She participates fully in a world that to her, just a few years ago, left her feeling powerless and overwhelmed. We are deeply grateful to Lori for her creativity, skill, commitment to her clients, and determined belief in our daughter’s ability to succeed.” J.F., Wayne, NJ
"Home Therapy Solutions has been a weekly part of our 8 year old son’s life for almost 4 years. Lori Frommer has helped our son learn new skills and continue to maintain mastered skills. She is patient, loving, enthusiastic, generous and encouraging. She approaches our son with a mother’s intuition and a therapist’s insights. She also thinks outside the box when presented with obstacles and behaviors that get in the way of successful therapy sessions. We are very pleased with how far our son has come and know that it is in part, because of Lori.” J.M, Wayne, NJ
"I had a great experience working with Lori the owner of Home Therapy Solutions. My son was 15 months when I reached out to Lori with concerns regarding his speech and fine motor delays. Lori completed a thorough evaluation where she identified delays I hadn’t yet noticed and provided recommendations. During the regular OT sessions my son quickly gravitated towards Lori. She made him feel comfortable which resulted in great sessions. During her sessions she was great about answering all my questions and providing guidance which was also very important to me. I could tell how passionate Lori was about helping me get the best services for my son. She really did go above and beyond with her services." V.F., North Haledon, NJ
"I had been to other OTs and I felt like my son's issues were more complex and not so black and white. My son needed more and Lori was able to provide that. Not only did Lori help him but she helped me to help him. The parent coaching during sessions was key to my son's progress." L.F. Wayne, NJ
