Adult In-Home Therapy Testimonials
"Lori was a godsend for us. Our dad started having so many medical issues and his ability to function was declining rapidly. Lori's clinical skills, knowledge of resources, and comforting demeaner put me and my sister at ease. She was patient to educate us all in person and with email updates. She made recommendations and was receptive to what our priorities were for dad and what he wanted to do, while emphasizing safety strategies. My sister ended up moving in with our dad and Lori has helped us navigate this new stage of life. Highly recommend Lori for home OT." C.O. Oakland, NJ
"Our private PT recommended we get home OT for my husband. I thought we were getting OT to work on fine motor skills and hand strengthening. On Lori's first visit to our home my husband was still in bed, and I thought the session would be a waste. Lori was happy he was in bed. She introduced herself to him, propped him better, started massaging his swollen hand with lotion, and smoothly proceeded to work on his changing positions in bed and sitting up. I needed to help her support him but with more sessions and working with his ability to balance at the edge of the bed, my husband was able to sit by himself. She worked on transferring him from his bed to the wheelchair, she loaned us equipment, as well as worked on dressing, eating, using his hand, and his thinking skills. Lori coordinated with my husband's PT, so I didn't need to pass on information. I always looked forward to Lori coming to work with my husband because we both would learn new things." P.M. "I appreciate the hard work I had from my OT. Lori was always prepared with creative exercises and made great suggestions to make my life easier and safer. She coordinated with my other therapists and reached out to my children. Once I reached my goals, she set up a routine for me for each day. I hope I stay healthy, but I will call Lori again if I ever need her." R.B. Wayne, NJ
