We had an evaluation done recently. Can we use that?
Yes. If the clinical therapy evaluation was done by a therapist within the past three months and still represents your child's current status, it can be used to form a treatment plan following the first 'get to know you' session. Keep in mind that if you need a report to share with another professional it will be the original initial evaluation report you will need to use since it will be what we are basing treatment on. Every therapist selects different evaluation tools, although some are more commonly used within the profession than others. Informal clinical assessment also varies from therapist to therapist, however anything not identified in the initial report will surface within the first few treatment sessions and will be incorporated into your child's treatment plan.
Children with IEP evaluations within the year that reflect the therapy you are seeking from Home Therapy Solutions will be accepted. During the phone consult it can be determined if additional evaluation is needed to expand on the school's plan for your child.
